Accessibility improvements​

This release improves keyboard and screen reader support across the app. The changes cover data tables, shared form controls, and modal, menu and popover behavior.

Data tables​

  • The data grid is a single tab stop. Arrow keys, Home/End and page keys move between cells, including the header and summary rows when a filter matches nothing.
  • Focus stays in place when an overlay opens from a cell and returns to the cell when the overlay closes.
  • Column filter popovers keep keyboard focus inside them.
  • A focused cell describes what Enter does, and record actions and counts have accessible names.
  • In Preview Changes, Save stays focusable when it is unavailable and explains why.

Form controls​

  • Comboboxes support arrow keys, Home/End and drill-in, and disabled options can no longer be selected.
  • Picklists open with Enter or Space, do not reopen after a choice, and no longer submit the form they sit in.
  • The time picker is now a combobox you can type into to filter times, and the date picker has updated keyboard support and layout.
  • Radio groups are a single tab stop, and help text and errors on form fields are read when the field receives focus.

Modals, menus and popovers​

  • Modals return focus to the button that opened them, and dropdown menus return focus to their trigger.
  • Escape closes only the top-most layer, so pressing it in a menu, popover or tooltip inside a modal no longer closes the modal.
  • Tooltips can be opened and dismissed with the keyboard.
  • A repeated error toast appears once instead of stacking, and toasts are announced by screen readers.
  • Cmd/Ctrl+Enter page shortcuts do nothing while a modal is open.

Org cards keep the sandbox name visible​

Org cards shorten the middle of long usernames and instance URLs (the full value is in the tooltip), so the sandbox name at the end stays visible. The Production/Sandbox badge moved next to the org Id to leave more room for the title. The Add Org popover in the header now has a Manage Orgs link.

Other fixes​

  • Fixed a crash on the Permission Analysis Issues tab when expanding or collapsing a group while Group By is set.
  • The record view, edit and clone modal can no longer be closed while a save is in progress.
